Saturday night I used the UIM, which turned out to be chuck steak, to make steak in gravy. I served it with green beans and brussels sprouts and it was very good!
Sunday night I had something similar but I added 1/2 a block of cream cheese, cut into small chunks, to the slow cooker and that gave the dish a little extra zing. It was served over baked potato and I had more green beans and brussels sprouts. What can I say...I like those two vegetables. A lot.
I'd bought (gasp, yes I bought!) some green onion dip and snacked on that last night with just a few Fritos corn chips. I do love green onion dip but haven't bought any in years. One of my favorite things to do with it is to smear it on a slice of turkey ham, top with a slice of cheese (mozzarella or sharp cheddar, preferably) and roll it up and eat. Yum!

I'm baaaaaack! and tonight's eats
I'm back, finally! It's been a rough three or so months but hey, life isn't easy, right? At any rate, my life is semi-normal now. My other half and I are communicating again and getting counseling and things are going well. So, watch for regular entries again, food entries!
And tonight's dinner? I haven't the foggiest yet. I have a small package of UIM (unidentified meat) defrosting and will use that. It's either chuck steak or chuck roast. I'll post again later to let y'all know what I do with it.
